In 1995, ÖBB procured new double-decker sleeping cars of the type WLABmz 76-94 and WLBmz 76-94. In 2009, the cars underwent an extensive upgrade program. The interior was modernized and the bogies were replaced with new SGP-400 bogies to improve running smoothness. In addition, the dark blue paintwork disappeared and the coaches were given a gray/red paint job. The coaches were used on the EN 490/491 Vienna – Hamburg, among others. In the early days of the Nightjets, they were also occasionally used on the NJ 420/421 Düsseldorf – Innsbruck.
The set consists of one car each of the type WLABmz 76-94.3 and WLBmz 76-94.2.
