Description
In March 2018, Flixtrain’s first long-distance train premiered on the Cologne – Hamburg route. Since then, the green trains have been connecting the two cities on the Rhine and Elbe every day. The second connection from Berlin to Stuttgart followed in April. The trains are operated by class 182 electric locomotives (ES64U2 Taurus) leased from MRCE and Hectorrail. 182 505 is the only machine that is completely wrapped in the Flixtrain colors. The 182 202, which was delivered to Siemens Dispolok in 2002, is no stranger to operating in front of passenger trains, as it was already in service with DB Fernverkehr and DB Regio.
