Transit train D 351 with the Frankfurt/Main main station to Berlin Stadtbahn, timetable year 1979
 
Transit trains from West Germany to West Berlin via the territory of the former GDR were manned by Reichsbahn personnel from the border to West Berlin and were also accompanied by a unit of the Ministry of State Security and the transport police. It was forbidden to get off at the operating stops, e.g. in Halle/Saale. The D 351 from Hobbytrain consists of eight cars of the types BDm272, Bm232, Bm234, ARmh216, Am202 and ABm232 in ocean blue/beige color scheme.
