Description
From 1952, the Opel Blitz, built from 1930, was given a new contemporary look. The design was very similar to the American pick-ups of the time. The vehicle, now designed for a payload of 1.75 tons, was available as a panel van and as a platform truck. In addition, special superstructures such as turntable ladders, towing cranes and beverage platforms were also offered. The vehicle, popularly known as the Weichblitz, was powered by a six-cylinder gasoline engine and had an impressive 58 hp.
