EC passenger coach, 2nd class Bpm with SBB bicycle compartment for Era V in gray/gray
From 1989 to 1995, the SBB put another series of large-capacity coaches into service for EuroCity traffic in addition to the EW IV coaches currently in service. These were based on the Bpm RIC and the EW IV delivered in 1980. The color scheme in two shades of grey with light stripes in between was previously used for the TEE trains (RABe) converted to two-class EuroCity trains. The light-colored stripe of the Eurofima paint scheme was retained. The 60 seats in first class and 78 in second class are arranged face-to-face throughout.
