Description
Based on the EW1 standard wagons with bellows and an ABDe4/8 type driver’s cab, six Bt driving trailers were delivered to BLS by Schweizerische Waggonfabrik Schlieren (SWS) in 1963.
From 2005, four of these driving trailers were converted for the car loading trains. Among other things, they were given a motorcycle compartment. After the conversion, the cars were operated by BLS as BDt 946-949. Initially, the driving trailers still had the blue/beige color scheme, but this gave way to umbra grey/green from 2007.
