The ES64F4 electric locomotive is a locomotive platform from Siemens and belongs to the EuroSprinter family. In Germany, it is mainly used by Deutsche Bahn as the 189 series, but private railroads and vehicle rental companies also rely on the four-axle electric locomotive. Some DB Cargo locomotives received automatic couplers (recognizable by the yellow corners on the side of the buffer beam) for use in front of the ore trains between Germany and the Netherlands.
