Description
From 1957, the 650 D and the 850 D were added to the MaK model range as a further development of the 600 D and 800 D. The longer chassis and the driver’s cabs with sun canopies were used right from the start. Between 1958 and 1965, 21 of the 650 hp four-coupler were built, with KBE (now HGK) being the largest customer with 8 units. Today, some locomotives are still in operation on German private and museum railroads.
