MaK from Kiel built 25 diesel locomotives for the Danish state railroad in 1996. The two-axle locomotives, designated G322, are mainly used for light shunting services. Some locomotives were sold by DSB to SFT and then on to Germany. This is how the DSB locomotive with the number 601 came to the Mittelweserbahn as the V 601. It has full approval on DB tracks and was also used in front of construction trains.
Dekas is producing the MWB V 601 in a limited edition exclusively for Lemke Collection.
