The ES64F4 electric locomotive is a locomotive platform from Siemens and belongs to the EuroSprinter family. In Germany, it is mainly used as the class 189 by Deutsche Bahn, but private railroads and vehicle rental companies also rely on the four-axle electric locomotive. Some DB Cargo locomotives were fitted with automatic couplings (recognizable by the yellow corners on the side of the buffer beam) for use in front of ore trains between Germany and the Netherlands.
