In 1982, the Danish State Railways (DSB) acquired 12 former Apfelpfeil couchette coaches. These coaches were classified as class Bcm. The couchette coaches were rebuilt and modernized, so they received a new interior with 11 compartments with 6 seats each. In 1987, a further 13 used couchette coaches from Germany came to DSB, which were also classified as class Bcm. Four of the coaches were equipped with independent oil heating and were classed as type Bcm-o. The vehicles were also refurbished and fitted with 10 compartments, each with 6 seats, as well as a service compartment. The coaches were taken out of service by DSB in 1997.
 
All of the cars have interior lighting and buffer storage. One car has a marker light.
