The Unimog on rail and road. Two-way vehicles have the advantage over rail-bound vehicles that they can be moved quickly to the scene of an emergency. Time is an important factor, especially for emergency vehicles or during maintenance.  
The two-way Unimog is used as a shunting vehicle, for rail and overhead line maintenance and for work on and around the tracks. In addition to railroad companies, users of the 2-way implement carrier also include operators of metro systems and light rail and streetcar systems as well as service providers in track construction and maintenance. One of the largest manufacturers of two-way systems in Germany is Zagro from Bad Rappenau. Zagro exports its vehicles all over the world.
