The VW T3 from Volkswagen was the third generation of the VW Transporter. It was produced from 1979 to 1992 and was the last Transporter series with rear-wheel drive. After the VW 411/412 from 1968, the T3 was the last new development of a Volkswagen vehicle with an air-cooled rear engine. Like all VW buses, the third generation also bore the type designation Type 2. Alongside the VW T2 Bulli , the VW T3 also has a large fan base.
