Description
The Bell 206 Jet Ranger is a light multi-purpose helicopter that made its maiden flight in 1962. To date, well over 6000 have been built and it is considered the most commercially successful civil helicopter. The air police of the Austrian Federal Ministry of the Interior also relies on the small, maneuverable helicopter. The German company Rotorflug GmbH also operates the Jet Ranger, using it for charter flights and pilot training. However, one of the main tasks of the Rotoflug aircraft is monitoring flights on high-voltage power lines, which are carried out on behalf of RWE and others.
